On the morning of June 26, BRG Group chair Madame Nguyen Thi Nga – who is also member of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) Vietnam and chair of the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2020 – attended the opening ceremony of the 36th ASEAN Summit, chaired by ASEAN Chair Prime Minister H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Vietnam.
On the same day, Madame Nga also attended an ASEAN Leaders’ interface with representatives of ASEAN BAC within the framework of the 36th ASEAN Summit, co-chaired by PM Phuc and Dr. Doan Duy Khuong, chairman of the ASEAN BAC 2020.

At the dialogue, Madame Nga proposed that this year's ABA will honor ASEAN businesses that have made outstanding contributions to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic in ASEAN countries.

In the official press release of ASEAN BAC for the conference, the event chair thanked Tan Sri Dato 'Dr. Mohd Munir Abdul Majid (chair of ASEAN BAC Malaysia), Siti Rozaimeriyanty DSLJ Hj Abd Rahman (chair of ASEAN BAC Brunei), and Madame Nga for their meaningful contributions in their speeches.
Recognizing the recommendations of ASEAN BAC and business associations, and on behalf of ASEAN leaders, the Prime Minister highlighted the role of the business community in the process of building the ASEAN Community, which is the core of development and prosperity of the region. At the same time, PM Phuc urged the governments of ASEAN countries and the business community to develop supply-demand chains to focus more on promoting intra-ASEAN trade and investment.
