BRG GROUP’S KEY ROLE IN THE SUCCESS OF THE FIRST ADT TOURNAMENT IN VIETNAM

A successful tournament beyond expectation

During the past week, all the attention of the Vietnamese golf community has been focused on BRG Da Nang Golf Resort, where the 2022 BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang – the first ever Asian Development Tour (ADT) tournament – took place in Vietnam.

Golf fans have been watching the exciting competition between Asia Tour’s top golfers. Until the last shot, the tournament couldn’t be concluded and had to be determined by a playoff hole. The victory belonged to Chinese golfer Chen Guxin, who had a very convincing style and showed his bravery and skills to win the Nicklaus course of the BRG Da Nang Golf Resort.

The heads of Da Nang City and BRG Group presented the championship trophy and prize to the winner, Chen Guxin.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2022 BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang, Mr. Tran Phuoc Son, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang city and Head of the Organizing committee of the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival, gave a special thanks to the companionship of BRG Group and other sponsors; the efforts of agencies, units, and localities; the professionalism of domestic and international golfers; and the enthusiasm of fans, which have made this a memorable tournament.

Mr. Son affirmed: “Da Nang city warmly welcomes clients and tourism ambassadors in the coming seasons of the tournament. With this impressive start, we are committed to taking the tournament to a higher level, and seek to lure world-class golfers.”

In order to organize a tournament like the 2022 BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang that brings a lot of excitement to golf lovers in Vietnam, it is impossible not to mention the bold statement of BRG Group as title sponsor, bringing an international professional event to Da Nang at the right moment.

After two years greatly affected by COVID-19, Da Nang city needs a push to attract more domestic and international sightseers to its beautiful coast, especially in the high-end class. That’s the ultimate goal, but to bring a tournament at continental level with the participation of top players is not a “long story short”. Besides financial requirements, the organizing committee also needed to find a partner who was confident in their abilities.

Right after receiving the information from Da Nang city about this international golf tournament, BRG Group sent an official letter asking to partner with Da Nang city.

Prior to the tournament, PGA-quality’s world-leading golf operators and maintenance specialists from BRG Da Nang Golf Resort and other BRG golf courses had to constantly check and survey every hole, making sure that the quality of the course had to be at its best. In addition, the most talented cadets were also selected for intensive training before joining the Da Nang caddy team for this tournament. It can be said that the staff of BRG Group’s Golf Division have devoted 100% of themselves to this tournament.
