Intimex import world-famous Aomori Japan apples to Vietnam
11 December 2016Hanoi, December 11th, 2016 - Intimex supermarket chain announce importation of the original Aomori apples from Aomori, Japan to meet needs of clean, high quality, guaranteed apples to Vietnamese consumers. The very first Aomori apple container reached Haiphong port today and will be officially on sale from December 18th 2016.
The fresh Aomori apples harvested in 2016 season are imported directly from Aomori, Japan by Intimex Vietnam. This is the first time these fresh and delicious apples have been imported directly from Japan for Vietnamese consumers following Vietnam’s official approval in late 2015 to allow apple importation from Japan.
In view of the growing interest in safe foods among Vietnamese people, the Aomori apples imported and distributed by Intimex will give housewives more choice for their family for super clean, safe and fresh apples from Aomori at a reasonable price. Mr. Dinh Tien Thanh, General Director of Intimex Vietnam J.S.C proudly said; “Intimex has worked very hard to import these apples directly from the strict quality controlled apple region of Aomori. We spent nearly 2 years working with Aomori Authorities and the exporter to understand the Japanese process to plant Aomori apples from preparation to harvest and packaging. Now we can officially bring these apples from Aomori, the golden land of world-known apple varieties, to our Vietnamese consumers".
Aomori is the most famous apple growing region in Japan and supplies 50% of all apples in Japan. The farmers in Aomori use meticulous techniques when raising apples, such as carefully wrapping apples whilst still on the tree, cutting off small flowers and fruits to keep nutrition for the large apples and using reflective panels to ensure the best colour of the apples. The apples are selected through a strict process of measuring color, size, sweetness, acidity and ripeness to evaluate and classify the apples. Soil, pesticide residues and even radioactivity analysis is researched carefully to ensure the top quality of each and every apple. This season Intimex will offer the world’s favourite apple varieties of Fuji apples (red color, sweet, succulent taste) and Kinsei (yellow color, sweet and sour taste). These are the very first two products in Intimex’s importing strategy to bring clean, safe, high quality items from pretigous markets such as Japan.

Aomori apples imported by Intimex will be boxed and stored strictly following Aomori’s high export standards and then shipped to Vietnam for maximum freshness and nutritional value. Aomori apples will be officially on sale from December 18, 2016 at Intimex supermarkets, Big C and Unimart and are a great, healthy gift for Vietnamese consumers at 2017 calendar New Year and 2017 Tet Festival.
