Madame Nguyen Thi Nga Appointed Acting Chairwoman of Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association

HANOI – JUNE 15, 2026 – The Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association (VPBA) held a ceremony to announce the decision appointing Madame Nguyen Thi Nga, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of VPBA and Chairwoman of BRG Group, as Acting Chairwoman of the Association.

Appointment Recognises Commitment, Leadership and Vision

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Trong Dieu, Chairman of VPBA, said the decision to appoint Madame Nguyen Thi Nga as Acting Chairwoman was carefully considered by the Association's leadership on multiple grounds. He highlighted her strong sense of responsibility, dedication, and commitment to advancing Vietnam’s business community.

"What I value most about Madame Nguyen Thi Nga is her sense of responsibility, dedication, and aspiration to contribute to the common interests of the business community," Chairman Nguyen Trong Dieu said. "She is a business leader with strong leadership capabilities, innovative thinking, creativity, and the determination required to represent Vietnam's private entrepreneurs in this new stage of development. I am confident that Madame Nga will successfully fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to her."

Having served two consecutive terms as Permanent Vice Chairwoman of VPBA, Madame Nguyen Thi Nga has been closely involved in the Association’s establishment, development, and strategic activities.

With decades of experience leading businesses across multiple economic sectors, Madame Nguyen Thi Nga has consistently pursued a development strategy centred on strengthening Vietnamese enterprises’ internal capabilities while promoting international cooperation to enhance management capacity, technology adoption, and economic competitiveness.

Through numerous domestic and international economic forums, as well as policy dialogue initiatives, she has worked alongside the business community to propose solutions aimed at addressing challenges faced by private enterprises, promoting administrative reforms, improving access to resources, and enabling Vietnamese businesses to participate more deeply in global value chains.

Speaking after receiving the appointment decision, Madame Nguyen Thi Nga said:

“This is a great honour and, at the same time, a significant responsibility to Vietnam’s private business community. Together with the Association’s Executive Committee, I will continue building VPBA into an effective bridge between enterprises and government authorities; a platform that brings together the intelligence, resilience, and aspirations of Vietnamese entrepreneurs. The Association will continue supporting businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, by expanding development opportunities, strengthening competitiveness, and contributing more meaningfully to the country’s growth.”

At the ceremony, the Executive Committee of VPBA also presented Madame Nguyen Thi Nga with the Medal for the Development of the Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association, in recognition of her significant contributions to the Association and the business community over the years.

The Mark of a Pioneering Female Entrepreneur

One of Madame Nguyen Thi Nga’s notable contributions has been her long-standing efforts to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which currently account for approximately 98% of businesses operating in Vietnam.

Through BRG Group’s ecosystem, numerous initiatives supporting local businesses, cooperatives, and participants in Vietnam’s One Commune One Product (OCOP) program have been implemented to promote products, expand distribution channels, connect markets, and enhance competitiveness. Trade promotion activities, agricultural product market linkages, and regional specialty product development programs have created new growth opportunities for thousands of producers and enterprises nationwide.

Meanwhile, SeABank has developed a range of financial solutions tailored for SMEs, import-export businesses, manufacturing companies, and women-owned enterprises. Specialised lending programs have been introduced to help businesses access capital, strengthen governance capabilities, and expand their operations.

Beyond business support initiatives, Madame Nguyen Thi Nga has placed strong emphasis on human resource development and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs.

At numerous business forums, she has regularly shared her insights on corporate management and innovation, along with her ambition to build Vietnamese brands capable of competing internationally.

Madame Nguyen Thi Nga’s appointment as Acting Chairwoman of VPBA comes at a time when the private sector is being recognised by Vietnam’s Party and State as a key driver of economic development under the spirit of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo. This period also requires businesses to enhance competitiveness, accelerate innovation, advance digital transformation, pursue green growth and deepen and broaden their integration into the global economy.

Madame Nguyen Thi Nga is expected to work with VPBA’s Executive Committee to further strengthen the Association’s position and effectiveness, promote the development of Vietnam’s entrepreneurial community, and contribute to building a dynamic, innovative, socially responsible private sector with the capacity to compete regionally and globally.
